Daniel Abaraoha, founder of Vita Shoes, has always loved sneakers. When his family lived paycheck to paycheck in their Texas home, Daniel always found himself designing, sketching, and striving toward creating the perfect shoe —something that didn’t yet exist on shelves. Through his own personal experience with his family’s financial situation, Daniel also formed a deep passion for serving those in his community who were less fortunate or who lacked opportunity. He spent much his childhood going on mission trips and contributing to volunteering efforts, but Daniel was unsatisfied. He knew he could do more. In creating a shoe brand, Daniel sought to integrate his passion for sneaker design with his lifelong dedication toward serving the needs of his community. Yet as a consumer himself, Daniel believed socially responsible products did not have to come at an absurdly high price. He figured that Vita Shoes could be the leader in providing access to shoes that benefited their own style as well as the lives of those around them. This belief led to the creation of Vita's mission: to make an affordable sneaker that was great for your feet but better for the world. With the support of Daniel's community behind him, Vita Shoes was born.
